Hey guys,
Looking at making some canards for my S2K.
Do you think it will be worth while? As Im going to make it a regular event of being at the track.
If you feel it would help, what angles? Only 1 or two canards per side?
At what angle do you sit with more drag than downforce?

Mario, if you do make them make them for the looks. You have so much other things to attend to before canards start making a difference bud.

I agree with you there.
But everything else I need to save up for (which I am currently doing). So im looking at what I can do in the meantime on a budget.
Like a DIY little project....

It needs to be in line with your boot or wing. Between the roof and boot. This is where the most turbulance occurs.
Also if you have a smaller one above the carnard, its called a vortex generator.
It doesn't give you that much down force in the front but the swirl like vortex of high pressure at that angle prevents the HP air from going to the low pressure area under your car.
Something like that.

Thats how i understand it, but installing it between yout boot or wing has confused me there? What do you mean by that?

Take a string stick It on the front bumper where you want it to start, run the string to the boot or the place that gives down force in the rear, along the side of your car.
That's the angle of your canard.
Then the vortex generator is at the angle of where there's most turbulence... Inbetween the back windscreen, where there's a low pressure, lemme do it on a pic

In this pic the front splitter acts as the canard and the vortex generator is above.
look at the angles..
