yep I know the people that run that bakkie.

They have two of them the blue on and the White one.
Guy really know his stuff about CA's built both motors himself along with his sons.

If I'm not mistaken the last time I spoke to the guy was around 6 months ago it runs almost 2 bar on a stock head gasket.

Custom intake
T3/T4 hybrid
Different pistons
Huge port job
Stock Rods (or was that the white bakkie)

Ow and a very secret cam set-up

How can the stock head gasket cope with that much pressure?? I thought the reason for only boosting a stock CA18 to 1Bar max was the head gasket??

IIRC Duane told me that power was made on 2.5bar rather impressive hey!

So then what is the max you can boost a STD internal CA18DET then?? I mean one with all the bolt on mods, ie. FMIC, manifold, bigger turbo, etc?? I was always told the head gasket goes at anything more than 1Bar.

Sphinx u are talking about a different crowd I think.
Martin has only ever had the blue bakkie and both him and his son drive it.
Yes its the bakkie that was in the SNS

For obvious reasons I am not going into great detail on the specs

CA18DET
Gasflow
VD Linde billet cams
T something turbo
Arias pistons
Eagle Rods?
Big boost
Nothing really special in the motor, good suspension setup and repectable power gets the times.
Running Gotech Pro currently but that is changing soon.

We will see what the improvements are on Sunday

Goal is 400kw plus and 9s 1/4

I would luv a motor with such powa but the relabilty factor is a killer.

And the fact that there is probably zero drivability.

but then who needs drivability when you can fly

Ja I would like a car that could smoke just about anything on the road. I still get neavous racing M3 and STi cause they no walk over and most of the time it ends evenly. I would sure like to give them a hiding though  .
