hey guys, my right headlight lens seems to be getting yellow fade. what fixes are there? not interestd in cleaning kits as these work under different circumstances. can i perhaps buff it out as it fades from d outside and then put on the clear lamin-x? will it stil fade? im pretty sure its easier to wipe the tint then to scrub the plastic lens

Hi dude, what kind of lenses do you have? Plastic or glass? I'm assuming plastic. Get 300, 600, 1000, 1500 grit wet sanding paper and sand your lenses with the 300, then the 600, then the 1000... Etc.

After the 1500grit sanding your lenses will look a little dull, so get yourself some Meguirs plastic polish and buff your lenses till they look like new... Easy as that

hw long will that last cause i buffed it once before with polish and hand polisher. it came out looking brand new then the next month was back to normal. i want prolonged repair that wont need sanding everymonth. il giv ur idea a shot thanks

What probably happened was that the polish filled the scratches and made the lens look new for a while. After washing etc. the polish got washed away and you were left at square one... So now by sanding the deepest scratches out, and working your way up to a finer grit finish, you will be left with a better end-result. We did my friends' Corsa C, and my dads' 2006 Hilux bakkie and their lenses still look very clear and aren't yellow any more. This was probably around 7months ago..

i think you need to buy a headlight cover because those yellow fade are dirt from your headlight you should protecting it from dust and dirt.

I just bought a Kit to do the above, Amazing stuff!! The Headlights are like new.
Will post details later about the Kit.
