Yup
I am sure it is
The relay clicks when you pres the button but the motor just stays stationary.
I also checked the fuses, the passenger side works fine just the driver side that decided to stop

What else could it be?

open the relay and look at the circuit board.

Undeneath where all the solder is have a good inspection of it. Look for cracks, it could be a dry joint.

Solder the dry joints

I have a pic somewhere will look for it
Its a common problem on the S13, and it was happening a few years ago to most of the old guys at the same time. So maybe yours is reaching the same age.

Its usually the case, those motors are quite strong.

I thought that too but then I did some reading on it they say that if you press the button and you hear a clicking sound coming out of the window relay it is OK.

What happened was I went on lunch at work when I stopped at the shops and closed my window it started to make a horrible noise like the sound of grinding gears (like the motor got stuck or something) I immediately switched the car of for it to stop.
After I switched it back on again the window went down fine and up one last time then from then it refuses to work.

I checked all the fuses but they are OK , when I press the button the relay clicks and nothing more happens.

That is why I am thinking motor.

Who is willing to have a look for a second opinion?

I know more about the mechanical side of cars not the electrical but I do know how it works.

If anybody feels the need to give me a helping hand please let me know and I will be HIGHLY appreciative.

Phill, open the door up and check the mechanism. Motor does not just pack up and when they do its always worn out brushes. Also check out the limit switches if fitted..

Right now everyone is looking at a label less can of paint and speculating as to the colour.. open it up.

I will have another look tonight.

Hopefully I don't break any more trim opening it up.

OK I had another once over on my window situation.

Confirmed that the relay is fine and it is in fact the motor that is busted.
Anybody know where I can get one?
Except Nissan SA coz they are on the strongest cycadelic drugs in the known universe.

Or a suitable replacement that I can use.

OK

I managed to get the window working, But I don't feel very confident with it.

When you close the window it makes a terrible noise (like the sound of grinding gears or something) coming from where the motor sits in the door?

It only does that at the last second of closing.
Oh I cant use the auto function on my window button coz it sounds like there is a chainsaw in my door when I do that.
