Nissan 200SX Club - South Africa

Hi guys.


Bought my SX a while back.Was not in very good condition so I started fixing her up a bit.
Put on a new turbo with a decent FMIC an 63mm piping 76mm exhaust.

She has a sputter when starting to boost when she has been running for a while.
Running 500cc injectors that were tested,Got a new 6bar fuel pump and new FPR set on 3Bar.
Running Gotech pro v5(have changed that aswel)

Replaced the fuel filter the coilpack the plugleads and the plugs.

AFR shows 11.5 under boost and the jumps to 14 when she starts to sputter.

Let her cool down for a while and all is fine for 10 minutes or so then it starts acting up again.

And have noticed that sometimes while its in ''slputter mode'' and U rev it in neutral the fuel pressure drops to almost 0????



Not 1 mechanic in Kimberley can help me sort this out.Change this change that and I have changed it all and still the same problem.
I even changed the water temp sensor.

Any ideas what could be causing this???

What management are you running?

Gotech pro V5 had a V6 box in aswell.Same prob

sounds like fuel

Have you got a walbro? If not I'd suggest starting there!

No I dont have a walbro but I did change the fuel pump with a stronger 6bar pump(not a walbro though)

The car runs fine for about 15 minutes.Then it starts to splutter under boost.
Changed the coilpack and all.
Only starts its shit after running a while.Let it cool down and she runs fine(For a while)
Any ideas??

your map i have a feelinng the havnt done temp compensations right

i think its a cracked coil pack

Something simple....check whether your FPR is connected correctly according to your FP and FR in and out.

Sorted!!!!

Got a different map and adjusted the 60-2 crank sensor bracket(was a bit skew)

Hehe glad you got it sorted buddy hws the performance now

A lot better than it was.But I am running a t3t4 which is too big.(lots of lag)
Gonna get a t28 or wr430 wr480.Will see what I can find for not too expensive.Also have a buddy whom I might swop my t3t4 for his t28 hybrid
Other wise it starts first time no missfires or splutters.
A joy to drive now.
