I have road going S14 , a very clean and neat example......started modding it a bit , boost controller , dumpvalve , big intercooler , excaust with downpipe , boost pipes , button clutch etch.....but to get to the point , I am now at the point where I need to upgrade the suspension , but browsed the internet and came to the conclusion that maybe coilovers is not really going to be the answer for a road car........can anyone maybe give me advice , because the standard suspension battles a bit with the bigger power and torgue

Hey Cuz,

Welcome to the club.....

I would advise Polly Bushes No. 1.... Then do a set of drop coils with shorter shocks..... They are available but you might have to do a bit of shopping, I know you can get the megan racing shocks that match a 40mm drop....

That way you get the stability from the bushes, the lower ride from the coils, and the comfortable ride from the shorter shocks..... Really the only way to keep the comfort for street..... But coilovers with polly bushes arnt that bad if you soften the dampening right up, the BC coilovers I have just ordered myself also feature seporate ride hight adjustment, meaning you can keep the softer spring rate while adjusting the dampeners to how you feel more comfortable....

Either way it will probably cost you round 7K for the shorter shocks route and about 10K for the coilover route, oviously both including Polly Bushes on the pricing

Personally I will not go back to poly anything. The difference between poly and the rose or pillowball setup is like night and day.
My car is running with BC stuff. Front springs are still std BC but I have softened up the rears . I can live with here as a daily.

If u want BC coilovers, it can be ordered with softer spring rates if u prefer it. Will give u almost stock ride, with the option of camber, damping and ride hight adjustment.
