If you changed the turbo from standard to T28 and intake, remap.....unless you still have the standard ECU, just do a "reset" on the ECU

the ecu is still stock but the car DESTROYS PETROL and i was told that the ecu is over-compensating bcos of the bigger turbo which is boosting 0.4bar

We need more info. How many kms to a tank do you get?
1. You cant remap a std ecu without some kind of piggy back
2. The sx is a low compression turbo car.
3. Std ecu will handle a T28 at 0.8 bar fine.
I get on my std sx (63mm zorst, k&n flat filter, Walbro)
Heavy town 300km 6km/L
Mixed 400km 8km/L
Highway 500km 10km/L

i haven't worked out fuel consumption yet but I drive to pta often and it hardly uses any petrol if i keep to a speed of about 100-120. But as soon as i accelerate hard and the turbo kicks in, the petrol needle literally drops while I'm looking at it.

You need a remap to get the most out of the t28 or else its a waist of time. (I presume you have a s13 with ca).
With regards to what system to go for, its all on your budget. I'd go with nistune if your budget allows, or apexi. But if your budget is tight you can go for a low price system such as dictator but you need to get it done by a reputable tuner!

I've been reading up on the NIStune system and it seems to offer a lot more value for money than the Gotech ECU that I was planning on getting for my 200sx s13 ca18det. How do I get my hands on it or is there a reputable tuner that I can take my car to?

I dont know of a nistune tuner in SA, and the system will need to be imported and I can source it for you.
You can also bring it to us here as we do mapping here and we are looking at adding Nistune to our portfolio (we have extensive experience with Dictator and Nistune is much easier to use)

forgive me if this question seems dumb but do u guys have the ecu diagnostic machinery because Nissan have quoted me an arm and a leg just to run a diagnostic on my ecu so that i know what needs to be fixed/replaced on the engine. And how much would you guys charge me?

We actually don't need diagnostic equipment to check your car for issues, nissan was kind enough to make it possible without any equipment other than the ecu itself.
We charge on an hourly basis, so pull in and we can discuss what is needed.

We are only based in Cape Town, sorry.
The Nistune is an awesome engine management system for Nissans, it has been made for one make of car and not a generic system. It is also a very user friendly system and has many more parameters for tuning.
As for the price, see the next post, +-R4000 shipped with consult cable (excluding Customs VAT and duties)
