Nissan 200SX Club - South Africa

I am posting this on behalf of a friend...

His car does not want to start and has the following "symptoms"
- Starter motor swings, but engine sounds like there's no compression
- Rev counter needle sitting at 9000rpm, whether the ignition is on or off

Basics bud, plugs out and compression test..Forget the rev counter, that's consequential..

Ya that's what I told him... will follow up today and see what happens.

Sounds like a broken timing belt. Hope not.
