compressor maps explain?

I hope someone on here can explain to me in stupid guy terms how to understand compressor maps, As you know I am looking at buying a GT3071RS as recommended by some forum members for my forged CA18DET setup.
Now I need to undertsand these maps so to bring the turbo to the actual setup and see what is possible.
Here is the map for a GT3071RS:
For me to now see how good this will work with my engine, I have to try and work my engine "flow" capabilities into this map....so...the CA engine is a 1809cc engine...
HELP???
