Events public holidays and coming weekend

With there being 2 pubic holidays coming up I thought I'd see posts about events for these days.
Let's see what's all happening and decide if we can make any of them.
There must surely be something happening thursday night? Even if its 'informal'?
Friday during the day there's the Pimp my Ride party as posted by Vlade.
Friday night @tarlton S.A.'s Fastest Street Car and Bike Challenge Tarlton N/A R40/adult & R10/Kids from 6-12 yrs. Gates open at 08h00.
Friday night @wesbank, last Friday of the month so I guess its illegal2legal.
Sunday @tarlton: I think the sports compact series might finish the runs that were interrupted last week by rain
Sunday @wesbank, its practise for the Nationals.
Tuesday the 1st @wesbank: Nationals, round 3
If you know of any other events in the next week or so, please post.

I am interested in wesbank on tuesday, I'd love to go to tarlton but I need to go thrue to witbank this weekend and the next.

On the site they say each year they had more and more visitors so maybe it will turn out better this year.
They mention Jet cars/drifting and all kinds of other cool things but there is no clear agenda on the site so planning might be problematic.
I wouldn't mind going though..at the very least there'll be some eye candy in one form or another

I dont know about you guys but i'm not missing out ont the castrol extreme motor show. I heard they got one of the american drifters to drift with his twin turbo 350Z. in the dome!! don't know if it's true. But I am going. whose interested on taking this mission with me. CAN I GET A WHOOP WHOOP!!

I just dont get it, we drift EVERY Wednesday AND are gonna be there for illegal 2 legal and probably saturday and tuesday aswell, The local guys are really good, they deserve some support you bunch of wankers...

if he didnt say it earlier i would have, had i been near a pc. i saw the advert in the paper today, a little bit in the bottom right corner about some dude from the "formula drift" series. yes, he has an awesome car, but what happened to SA support of the normal SA dudes with normal SA cars??? we are at wesbank at least once a week destroying our daily drives, so come and support us you BUNCH OF WANKERS!!!

ive been there 5 times already! not officially drifted yet, cozof i need to sell some goodies to make my car love me more - but for those that have seen me on the skidpan - do you really want me to wreck the tar there too? MUHUHUHAHAHA

The car that the dude is going to use in the dome is from NXGen. I would like to know what their reasoning was behind getting that guy instead of say florin or jayboy..I can only imagine they weren't fully aware of the local drifters or there is some political thing. Capetown has seen some drifting competitions but I don't think there's any in JHB and I didn't see anyone from the JHB drifters attend the CPT event. Was the cpt event discussed on the drift forum Sokar?
We should support our drifters more I suppose, but I feel the same about the drags & other events, we should support & participate in the scene. Which is why I wanted to start dragging more frequently - it is marginally safer and cheaper than drifting. When I'm not so broke and the last few bits are fitted to my car I will start attending more events, especially to support fellow sx's - be it drifting or kudubokdrolverspoegkompetisie
I don't know if I'm going anywhere this weekend. Will maybe just stay home and save moolah for water injection/1.5bar SR20DET overhaul..
