Is it the nationals or something like that? I want to go but only if I get to actually participate. Been dying to get to a strip but the rain has been a real issue.

It is a speed and sound super contest series....we fall under class B....qualifying is 13sec 1/4 mile.....so we will not be able to compete.

Bleh, well I went anyway. And guess what, it rained anyway, twice!!! Luckily there were some runs in between.
Saw Leon Kaplan on the strip, now I have clips of his old skewl monster on the dyno and strip
There was 1x200sx s13, Andre' Conradie's RB red monster. He broke on the line though and therefore didn't make it to the second round.
I think the sports compact series is worth supporting, it seems quite nice for a handicap kind of event. There weren't many supporters but those that pitched up had some nice rides!

Two very negative answers for those:
1) I thought I saw 200sxmp there but wasn't sure if it was him, I didn't initially plan to go but ended up going anyway. I asked 200sxmp in a PM to confirm if it was him I saw [no he was not in his sx at the time otherwise it would've been obvious]..I was hoping my zoopedup tshirt and nissan cap was enough, but I obviously need a 200sx T-shirt etc.
2) I have no best time. Never been able to get my car on the strip. Always either had a slipping clutch or rain get in the way. I also want to have it timed, but Wesbank is so busy those queues are loooong. Hopefully going to install my brakes this week and next week find a strip.
Dislex666 dipped in the 13's on his last outing, 13.8 I think. I'm thinking I could be somewhat slower, say 14.5 or 15

Where's our leader board?
I don't even have a clue what a stock s13/s14 should run on the 1/4, any1 know?

I think the standerd s13 will do a 15.5 +- or higher, Freddy and Tobles has those greddy meters that we can do a normal 1/4 run with the time, if you want we must orginise with Freddy or someoene and go to a quiet road and see what we do...are you interested qewrty, I'd like to see what time you post. Obviosly I think there might be a slight difference on the track but at least we will have an indication of the time.
I take my hat off to dislexx, getting into the 13's is not easy

Getting into the 13s on a track is not easy. That bladdy cristmas tree flashes too fast and always when you not watching.

A mate of mine with a 323BHP SR20 in his S13 does 12.39 and a 1.72 60 foot over the 1/4

LOL - me need 323hp sr20.
any sponsors???
anyway - i have one of those performance G meters, and my quickest 1/4 run was 16 something. but that was about a year ago.
i reckon the car is faster now, i'm sure i could break into the 15's if i remove my homemade slippery slicks and put some decent rubber on!!!!

@ VC... Seeing as you will be the first one to 1Bar surely you should be quicker?!

Now this sounds like a plan. I was going to buy one of those performance recorders, I think it was R 1600 last time I checked. Since then all the cash has been going into increasing actual performance.
When/where can we do this?!!? TK, Fweddie!?!??!! It would be a good base-line so I know what to expect on the strip.
I also take my kit off for dislex666
