Faulty Ignition - Antilock????

Has anybody ever experienced the following problems yet.

1.Turn the ignition on (don't start) and nothing happens. No ignition lights. BUT my CD player works and the clock light goes on, so there is power from the battery.
Checked wires under ignition but nothing wrong. Strange thing happened one day and in frustration I knocked the steering wheel and there the ignition works. However sometime it sound like something it not making proper contact. So the ignition lights would flash on and then off.

2.While driving, the dash light for the antilock would come on and then my ABShit brake would just act up when attempting to brake as if the pump is faulty. The problem comes and goes. I have checked the two sensors on the front wheels and cleaned them but the problem persist.
Is there a fuse for the antilock which I can remove to test? I have checked the fuse box but no fuse saying antilock. I think there is antiskid fuse but is it the same thing.

check fuse box on cold side of the engine!

also check the 40A fuse for alternator/ignition or whatever. i had a similar problem and it turned out that some knobdonkey had decided that instead of replacing a 40A (FORTY AMP - sounds important) fuse, they would rather do a crappy job of soldering the two points together!!! well, things didnt work so lekka once it started coming loose!

fukit - check all the fuses throughout the car. you should find a link to the FSM on the site. locate all fuses. check em!

change the ignition barrel!

Antiskid = ABS :D

If you really get stuck with the problem remove the driverside rear panel (just behind your seat) the ABS control unit sits there, it has a little LED on it that flash the error codes, that will give you the exact reason why your thing is acting funny.

Remember reading it somewhere, can't remember where it sits isn't that just a huge freaking plug for a wire harness?

Any way... Damn you guys are a bunch of horn dogs, think my Pimp juice is infecting one to many brain cells.

if there wasn't a kick panel in the drivers footwell, you would probably ruin the SMJ.

its covered by that panel - basically the opposite side to where the computer box sits.

and it joins the main harnesses. i think there are about 3 of them!!! but i could be wrong. i wouldn't be surprised if there are more harnesses!
