Hey all,

Has anybody replaced the windscreen on a S13 here? If so is a new windscreen rubber needed? If so where would you get one?

I haven't got round to ordering a windscreen yet, and unfortunately I haven't got an answer about the rubber either. I'm just hoping now the windscreen suppliers can sort that out.

I already know where to get windscreens though, what I want to know is do the windscreen suppliers supply a suitable rubber, do I need to find one or do they reuse the existing one?

The S13 doesnt use a rubber as such. There are 2 "rubbers" you need, one is a foundation or something, basically a foam strip with adheasive on one side. The other one is a dam seal or something (I may have the names the wrong way round), this is used to keep the windscreen mouldings in place.

I'm assuming, from what you have said, that I don't need to worry about organizing anything extra for fitment of a new windscreen.

One of the members fitted a new windscreen the other day at Glassfit in Centurion. The rubbers and metal corners were part of the deal.

The glasfit deal was an insurance claim, afik the rubbers were obtained by them from nissan.
