interesting!!!
i've heard these boxes are bulletproof. but then again, they are 15 years old on average!!!!
i guess they cant live forever!!!!
let us know where, and how much, the cost was??? i'd be interested in that, as i frequently abuse mine too!!!!

I second veecee's notion, please let us know how much and where
Maybe we need a sticky somewhere that lists average prices for various fixes? This would help the noobs like me budget for our next step / fixes as oppossed to having a heart attack when our mechanics suprise us with hefty bills

Ummm if you don't come right try Centurion Gearbox and Diff, they apparently do a boatload full of Nissan 1tonner gearboxes each month, and those gearboxes are nearly exactly the same as ours.

I think most gearbox places can do it, it's just to get a good price and proper service....

Ok gearbox in, took a while with some stupid little murphy shit, he tried to screw it up but we got it right....in the end I did.....
Thanks to Freddy helping to take it out and to Riaan getting the gearbox done and helping me putting it back.
I need to run it in a bit to see if it is ok and get my clutch setting right then I am up and going......just for intarest sake 2 gears and all the bearings were screwed, the bits of the gears that stripped went into the bearings.
