Coil Over Suspension or a Normal Sport setup ??

Hello.

I am currently shopping around for a suspension setup for my S13. Most local suppliers do not have Coil over suspension for our cars. Would a normal sport
Package work just as good as coil over’s ??

This is the reply that I got from Koni SA after asking them if they had coil over’s for
A S13.

“Hi there Adriaan

KONI only make a sport shock for the car which we mate to a H&R spring to give the finest SPORT set up available, It is not height adjustable just damping adjustable, BUT there is no doubt that no after marker Coil over kit from the East is any where near as good as this set up and the car is low enough!!!

Cost KONI dampers R6500.00
Springs R2850.00

Hope this helps”

This I pretty much the same reply that I get from all the local suppliers.

It is my understanding that BC, D2 and Tein have more experience producing Coil over’s for S13’s and would be a better option. I would really appreciate your guy’s opinion because I am starting to doubt what to purchase.

I enjoy burning rubber around corners when there are no other cars around and would like to get rid of body role.

DO NOT go for the Koni setup
I had a set mde up for the S14 ,They distroyed my stock suspention and the coilovers were Crap :x ,Replced them with BC and never looked back.

They are on a friends car atm and he is not happy ,I cant give them away as they so crap

BC or D2 are the best options

Never having tried coilovers...I love my Koni's + H&R's. Only gripe is its not low enough...but I scrape on everything as is already.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd recommend them to everyone.

I want to purchase the set of D2 coilovers from obsession but if he sold it by December I am going to purchase BC coilovers in January.
