Re: The bitch
small update as usual stripped the fuel tank out.. what a bitch to do when u still have 24l of fuel in it..
But at least it is now out and gone.
You just don't realize how big and flat these tanks are till you pull them out
Then the big job that i have been doing. Been prepping the car to be seam welded
kak job
While i was at it i decided to clean where i am going to weld the rear balk head in to block off the fuel system

Re: The bitch
so this is my idea for the fire wall in the back..
gives me just enough space to get the fuel cell. Will be closed up against the boot lid
also played with the bonnet hinges so this is able to happen.
easy acces is a must. these dam s13 are kak to work on with the bonnet in the factory open position
And 1 just because i can!!!!
finally done with cleaning out the seams in the engine bay and inside the car. time for under it!!!

Re: The bitch
Thanks man..
Yea the hinges being able to open like this is awesome.
Simple to do. Pull the hinges out. Lock them in a vice and cut 1 side of the stoppers out. Will try take pics 2moz of them.

nice job
dude, before you weld those seems. I would recommend running a blow torch over them to burn out the seem sealer in between the seems.
From past experience. The welds look shit and you don’t get proper penetration when the seem sealer contaminates the weld area.
Burn it out. Then run a wire brush over the seems. There after. Welding is so much easier.
On the the s14 and 350z. we encountered the same problem

Re: The bitch
Man its been a busy week. Get home from work and start to work again..
this is what she is looking like now
Done about 90% of the front tubing. All the body panels and front bumper are lining up nicely.
its looking like a car again.
Chopped out the inner door skins, pulled the glass out and the electric motors.
Last shot to Barry for the directions the other day, found my bends i need
