Oi,
Why didn't anyone post something about tomorrow? It's a pubic holiday and Tarlton is having an event.
I'll be there seeing as my car is back from Calibrator
I'm still figuring out how to launch with the new clutch but other than that the car is scary fast, now all I need is an airfield/autobahn. The N roads will do for now
If anyone else is going to Tarlton tomorrow give me a shout.

I'll be posting a full article under the correct topic but in short:
GT2871R turbo, FMIC, XMS standalone management, 76mm west-rand zorst and a few other smaller things.
The dyno says 176kw atw, 0.8bar..but my adrenaline fuelled heart says a whole lot more!!!
Widowmaker, with great power comes great responsiblity!
ps, got lots of parts from Rezlo and even 1 or two from D666, the other BIG S14

Fords are vicious, anyone who disagrees can come watch Gavin Wilkins. I have a clip from yesterday showing him launch..which is more of a take-off seeing as the front wheels lift up..
I also caught the jetcar drag on camera, if you haven't made the effort of seeing this in real life, I hope the clip inspires you to attend next time.
Watch the lounge for the links, that is if I can find webspace somewhere..

or you could've been at wesbank in the afternoon watching drifting, then illegal to legal drags, then some more drifting at 9pm, then a whole lot more drags.
some dude even had his lexus LS 450 (brand spanky new one) on the drag strip!!!! it bogged though. i reckon he didnt turn off TC!!!!

Can't be everywhere at once
No one even let me know there's something at wesbank. I suppose I should've just known that on a public holiday there is always something.
This time though I was quite happy to be at Tarlton, I just can't get enough of the Jet cars. I'm an aspiring F15 pilot you know!

15000 pounds of thrust causing more bass than lenasia & brakpan combined.
Pity it only lasts for 5 minutes or less.
On Sunday though I hope to see aaaaaaaaaaall of you at wesbank. Any1 wanna dice?

Qewrty I wish I could be there but I had to choose....Tarlton or wesbank on sunday...wesbank got my vote.
I would like to see what my car does against your monster but I think it will not be possible....they are not running 1/4 miles....only full track runs, gymkana drifting I think and some other stuff....they didn't say anything of 1/4 miles....it's a good thing I think then no one will see you guys kicking my arse on the strip with my slomobile.

Qwerty's car should be able to run low 14's and maybe break into 13's@165 to 170km/h untill he gets decent tyres which should see the times drop solidly into the 13's.
Semi slicks or drag radials should drop that into the low 13's on low boost. Mebbe he will go for broke when he is ready to rebuild the engine and we can try 1.5 or 1.8 bar.

In the inspiring words of a 700kw VW powered attitude once spotted at an informal gathering: "ek kak jou toe!"

[or at least my extra 15% cc's does]
CA's are only strong in s13's & champs
