What other mods do you have?
There is a guy here who sells generic chips for certain setups/stages and they are top notch for lower budgets.
http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index.php?cPath= ... d8d6495b47
Easy to fit to the stock ECU.
Check out Each stage, they have a list of modifications that are required for the chip.
I've used all 3 stages on various s13's in the past and can't fault them! He's a very trusted mapper here who knows what he is doing.

mmm... not bad.
Gonna be close to R1500 for the setup though...
So rather go for the Unichip at R2800 all in...
Oh and the modlist is:
GT28RS
63mm Exhaust
Cone filter
Stock motor ect.

Dont know much about unichip.
Is the R2800 including custom mapping for your car, or do you map it yourself?

Yeah that sounds good.
Maybe I should look into mapping unichips instead of diktator based purely on cost.
Who does the mapping?

Hey man!
And hows the fuel consumption with the mods? cuase I've heard unichip doesn't do well with consumption...
ok... i'm still indecisive actually... don't want to shell out R2800 and get the unichip, then be disapointed in the long run... read a few bad things about unichip...
so not sure...

need to get it sorted quite fast... so wanna know what I should do... please...
oh the unichip will be installed by mace, whereas the SMT-6 will be done by me...

Hi,
I get about 300 on a tank if i drive like the devil, but generally i get between 350 and 400 odd km on a tank, not great consumption but if you want power you need to add fuel.
I could lean it out a bit but i need a on board AFM gauge to be able to do that.
The installation is pretty basic couple of wire and you are ready to go, I can forward you my map for a start until you get it dyno tuned.....

Ok... so I phoned 3 diff places, none of them wants to install the SMT6, they can tune but not install. Now I've thought it over and came to the conclusion that we should just do the Uni-Q chip.
Its just gonna be easier as I don't need to worry about the install... and if something goes wrong I can just take it back to Mace and tune them. hehehe.
So ja... will post up some specs ect when its been installed on thursday
