Toby anDaniel, http://www.blazt.biz/index.html. This interested me, so I emailed Jason the Manager of Product company. And bad news this software is not working on he CA18DET. It looks to me the problem may be the connector. The one that Daniel showed for the ECU checker box.
If that is the situation, what about mods????

Which is why, Freddie, we need to get that PIC programmer working, so that we can build our own interface to the ECU and sensors. I spent last weekend and the weekend before trying to get the programmer working again Freddie, but no luck! Neither my programmer nor yours works

Toby, get rid of it. Dustbin is the right place. We rather look into other programmers from scratch again.

Well, not so fast - I tested the lines for correct voltages, etc. and it looks good - in other words, the hardware looks fine! Maybe we should meet up so we can debug this problem?

Gremlin - Is that the PIC Start programmer? I had one of those, only problem with those is that you need to remove the chip from the circuit to program it. Still, would be mighty useful if I could borrow that so I can figure out what's going on with my programmer.

Gremlin has an aftermarket management system, I suspect his software will not work for the standerd ECU's, am I wrong?

I use the fusion programmer. You can use it I you want. I also got the software for it. I can do basic and a bit more complicated pic programming. But I wouldn't try programming the ECU. Not at that level yet. My management system has its own software and can be programmed while the car is driving. And you can also monitor everything while you driving. And it supports multiple fuel and ignition maps.

No absolutely not. That's like taking a program from Windows and trying to run it on a Mac. Unichip has completely different software and different map data.
