What voltage does the knock sensor give out?? I want to wire it into my WOLF3D as a precaution.

Does the Wolf Support knock? I'm not aware of it?

No it doesnt. But we can connect it up via the Auxilary input and calibrate it according to its output voltage.

OOOh no it won't work...
The knock sensor send's out a very high frequency audio like wave...
There is some knock sensor circuits on the net... I've built one but haven't tested it yet... It basically users a 555 timer, that filters the input from the knock sensor, when it detects a "signal" it then delays it for a few seconds causing a beep on the 555 output via a buzzer...
Now one can use that circuit to fire a Aux input to the Wolf.
quite simple but don't know if it works.

Vlade do you have the 555 timer circuit on you? If so, can I get copy?

Thanks Vlade - no need any more, got it from internet. Thanks.

Relying on a knock sensor is a very false senso of security. Tuning the knock sesing system to recognize true knock on your particular engine can take months and very sophisticated circuitry.
They have a tendency to pick up engine noise as knock and ignore real knock.
The Ion sensing sytems work well at $20 000 US
Tune your car properly and you wont have a need for a knock sensor.

Just want it as a precaution.
