I know it’s not Nissan and I don’t like the mix breed thing. But has any body considered or tried it? Just looking at bang for the buck. My S14 has been out of order for to long now. (Got it in Nov 2006 and it worked for 6 months. Well then 2008 I asked a guy to help fix it. Long story short 5.6K went missing along with stuff like the complete intake manifold injectors, fuel rail, throttle body and throttle position sensor, radiator, power steering and air con pump, and some other stuff. Luckily got the head back but had to pay R1,100.00 for it AGAIN to get it back.)

So any thoughts? Not nice walking past the car every day and can’t drive it.

PS: Supposed to be my daily drive :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Don't know thw lexus but I am sure it would be a cool car, there was a guy on the forum that built in a V8 turbo in the sx but we never got to see the end result.

If you need parts for the sx, just ask, there are many parts availible for sale, I have a few as well.

the lexus v8 is a friggen brilliant motor, thought by many to be one of the best ever to come out of japan (toyota still had something to prove to the world back then) ,sporting interesting features such as 6 bolt mains to name only one...

they are quite compact and will fit almost any engine bay, just remember they never came fitted with manual gearboxes, so budget on a conversion to cressida box, or the electronics to run both motor and gearbox..

been thinking of fitting one of these to something for a while now, they can be had so dirt cheap.. very tempting :)

he sold the entire setup for 11k recently.

is that too cheap for you???

anyway - its a great motor, with even greater potential and its dirt cheap.

motor and autobox - R6k
flywheel, clutch, clutch fork, bellhousing, clutch slave - about R7-8k (pta)
spitronics engine mgmt - R3k
engine major service, test start on bench, ecu wired up and shipped back - R8k.

imo - thats value for money!
