Ice & Dice Robot 2 Robot Street Drag Racing!

Rock Raceway will officially open its doors to a brand new category in the form of “Ice & Dice Robot 2 Robot Street Drags” This formula is based on the American style of street drag racing down the 200m strip. The beauty of this type of racing is that there is no times involved, just pure dicing from robot to robot, first competitor to pass the second light wins. Time to rev it up and drop the clutch as the street drags take to the circuit for the Sunday night racing As from 07 February every Sunday evening drag racing should become a ritual for petrol heads at Rock Raceway

Rules of entry:

Only roadworthy and licensed street cars will be allowed to enter, cars that need to be transported on a trailer to the venue need to be unloaded and driven onto the property prior to entry of the event. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome to enter regardless of the engine capacity. Competitors who enter their vehicles will be checked for alcohol consumption before and during the event. A zero tolerance with alcohol consumption will be tolerated for all competitors. No passengers will permitted for joy rides down the drag strip.

Spectator entry fees:

R30 Per Adults.
R15 Children 6 to 12 years old.
R40 Embankment parking vehicle only.

For the sound fans Mad Customs will be hosting the DB Drag event hosted by Morn’e. For all the details on the DB Drag event contact him on 084 585 0283

Gates will open 4PM Racing will Start 18H30.

Wide variety of food & refreshments will be on sale and plentiful on site. !

Myself and qewrty have spoken, we would like to go....either a luch before we go to the rock or qewrty said he could bring his gas braai then we tan a worsie and all at the event.

In that distance my turbo have not even spun up yet, and my friends bakkie's tires have not found grip yet. lol

It sounds fun.

Yip....cars like my Z and yours that only really starts excelerating in and after 3rd needs some innovation to stay with and beat cars quick out of the block, better gear ratios and fast spoolup :wink:

Also as you say if you have gazillion WHP and NM with not enough traction....you gonna looooooooose :D

Claus I know very well, we chat a lot about the 7M, I had one myself, then moved to something else and sold it the weekend, now the new project begins and it'll be something to see.

lol - i reckon my golf might be able to beat a JZ over 200m, but thats it!!! actually maybe 200m is asking a lot - do they do 100m runs?
