LS-TEC vs 200SX

Howzit Guys
Had run with last night with my friends LS-Vtec the car is pushing 105Wkw. I was two up (everyone wanted to be in the SX) we struggled to get good runs but the best run was when we left a petrol station with my friend behind me
First gear we are the same , Second the SX slowly starts pulling ahead and third gear the SX is still pulling slightly, I was only around a 1 1/2 cars ahead.
The second run the Honda out lunched me from the line, I cant launch for shit, The Honda was 2 cars head , second gear ,I stopped the gap and started closing slightly in , 3rd gear I was just at his back bumper then backed off for a dip in the road.
I was very surprised at his Honda and respect that car so much more, I was really hoping to pull bigger gaps but that was not the case.
I have seen him run a Sr20VE with SR16 N1 cams and only lose by a 1/2 car so his not slow.
