Boost

Any of the tech guys....and of course the internet experts
I am getting full boost in 1,2,3,4 and 5 when I gun it from 1st or any of the lower gears under 5.....when I cruise in 5th and then give some stick....it does not boost over 0.5 bar.....
WHY

What boost do you get in the other gears?? When you floor it in 5th what rpm are you at??
Remember you have a low CR CA18 so its not very effeciant at low boost, you ideally need to adjust the wastegate arm...

I am struggeling with a very sensitive boost controller,1 mm closed, then it only boosts 0.5 bar, 1 mm open then it boosts over 1 bar in all gears, even 5th, but then I need to gun it in a lower gear before 5th then it boosts over 0.5 in 5th.
When I cruse and I gun it, it boosts 0.5 bar till about 4500 to 5000 revs then I take my foot off....it does not even look as if it wants to go more...
The only suspect I can think of is the turbo.....but then why does it spin good in lower gears....

First thing is to toss that boost controller out and go straight from turbo to wastegate.

I am planning to, want to cut and thread the actuator arm to adjust it....
but that is not going to solve my problem.....

Sounds to me that the boost controller is the issue...

Why would you say only in 5th while crusing does the controller cause this?

A T28 to biggggggg

I'm confused
If anything it's suppose to spool quicker in 5th....and keep it better...

you arent revving high enough in 5th.
Remove the boost control first.

You telling me on 4500 revs in fith there is less flow to spin the turbo enough for more than 0.5 bar? No...I don't agree to the revs not being high enough.....
But....now that my logic is kicking in....might be that because the flow is more in fith that the boost controller fails to keep the flow to the actuator constant....giving more pressure to the actuator....opening the wastegate....less boost
Ok....seems like I will agree with you....the boost controller

Thought you meant like 3500rpm in 5th, you know 120km/h.
Ok....seems like I will agree with you....the boost controller

Might be...I'll have to investigate

you heard her with the SX.....you must hear her with the ZX

she drove with me a total of 3 times I think....and that was it....

Draco just leave the toy sx

and play with the zx.. those engines are very strong and got so much potensial..
