OBSESSION - RB S13 *SOLD 09/02/2011*

Post by FUEL PERFORMANCE »

Some have been hounding me for this , So here it Goes ! Enjoy!

Well after Years of being and still am a Opel FWD Turbo Dragster Boy Ive always wanted a 200SX and have always been fascinated by the whole Japanese Car World. So a little while ago I did it and Bought a SX !

Bought the Car in Rustenburg while on a JHB trip. Drove +-1300km while I was there over a week and then Shipped it home on a Carrier.

Test drove a Few SX’s while in JHB but all had had a hard life and all were 4 Cylinders.

1994 200SX S13 (no Sunroof)
Original Colour

RB20DET Motor
Stock Skyline Management & HKS Fueling
Suspension Stock
Rims Stock
Interior Stock

Car drove like a Dream, Im so glad I had the feel of a RB 6 cylinder from the start - Nothing like that 6 Cylinder Feel.

At first I was going to keep the RB20DET motor & just fit some management and bolt on's, but after a long thought process of +- 12 seconds and knowing myself to well I knew it would never match up to my bigger plans! Thus me selling all the RB20DET Parts in the For Sale Section.

The car had been parked under a Tree with a Cover over it in Rustenburg and was not being used thus the owner selling.

Back Home and the Carrier Pulled up one fine Sunday Afternoon !!

So the Monday the Car went to the workshop with me so we could have a good look over and see what was what. Car is straight and you can see it was well looked after in the Past. The usual scratches and small dents from 15 years on the Road but nothing major.

Well it was not long and the Project went into full swing!

RB20DET to Come out Came out & the SX to get a Fresh Coat of Paint !!

A Good Friend of mine in JHB sourced a Very Good looking Low KM’s RB25DET for me from a Engine Importer he knows, and at a Great Price (Thanks RD !!)

He collected the motor for me and dropped me a MSM to get my blood pumping!

Image

Then 2 Days later a Trusty Time Freight Van Pulled up outside OBSESSION MOTOR’S !! Look at that Puppy just sitting waiting for Mass Destruction to be Unleashed!

The Car was Painted on the Weekend & Flatting and Polishing started today.

Next update will be Motor Info, Suspension Info +++ and Pic’s.
Final Parts are on the Road with DHL from the US-Left last week , so they will be here this week(tomorrow).

So the Bodywork carried on today, looking good so far.
We stuck with the same factory colour, but just added a little pearl to wake it up a bit. Once its out in the sun the full effect will come thru.

Loving this build! Car is gonna be a beast :) Any big plans do you have for suspension and brakes?
What you get when you don't get what you want is experience.
