Thought I will start a net topic, since my car is now very far from the original RB26DETT. Decided to build a RB30DET with forged internals for my S14. Never seen or heard of one here localy.
Image
S14 has BC Racing suspension, upgraded brakes and "half" roll cage fitted.
Now ready for the new engine.

The RB30DET is a 3L sub with forged pistons, rods, ACL race bearings, N1 oil pump with a gasflowed VVT RB25 cyl head fitted. Greddy style intake, 750cc injectors, T66 B/B turbo and W/Meth injection.
Will update as I fit the engine.

hey i wanted to contact you about the rb30 conversion and what it entails.I am putting my one rb20 into my drift backie, and the second rb20 i have needs pistons, and bearings, so i was on the lookout for a rb30 block( complete bottomend) for my 'hybred' to swop out later. Will you be posting the complete process of what work is needed for the rb30 to fit. i remeberyou need to skim the block, tap and drill for the second belt tensioner , I will be doing this wehn my drift backie is finishedso notin a real hurry.

I have built a RB30DET for my Skyline as a test, done over 7000km and lots of drags with it, running realy well, 268kw @ 0.6bar(max 370 inj.)
This time I want a lot more power. Big differance is forged internals and lots of cyl head work, bigger turbo and injectors.

You musts christen your RB30 "The Torque Monster" it will have wicked NM figures.

What is the books saying, apparently the books give more accurate figures than any dyno.

 Dont know, but apparently on some other forums, the "engineer" can calculate power figures much more acurately than books or dyno..... not that it matters, I just do my thing and see how it turnes out

Nice

Remember to take lots of pics.
I have this worksheet with regard to rb oil restricters

Is this the na vvt head you bought from skylow?

Have the same worksheet with regard to rb oil restricters :D , very important when building RB30, as I found out after building the first one. Way too much oil in head at 6-7000rpm with turbo oil pump without restrictors.
