it will be fine - except that you wont get any turbo gaskets!!! they are the same engine basically without the turbo - even the hydraulic from that motor fit!!!
even the exhuast gaskets should fit!
not too sure if there is a difference in the head gasket, but at such low stock boost why should there be???

I got a set now for Toby
There no more CA18DET stock in the country

The distributer told the guy I deal with.
Prices also gone up quite a bit.
On my first motor I built I got hold of CA18DET set, they are exactly the same as the CA18DE set, except the gasket. Head gasket the same... rest of seals the same. The CA18DE guys benefit by getting the beefed HG.
I was actually told with my first set that only get CA18DET sets, since there was nearly no price difference, but lately ja well I can't find T sets.

Sorry to ressurect a old thread.
As some of you might know im completely rebuilding my old engine (after stripping it it would seem a bunch of monkeys built it). Iv asked around for Gaskets and PM'd a couple of you. What id like to know is what now.. Autozone centurion tell me they can get a Payen DET gasket kit for R1040. Valve stem seals for R500 odd and some other stuff aswell, quotes at home so and forgot what it is

all in all Its about 2k.
Now Nissan sell the complete gasket kit incl. valve stem seals and and for R1790. and it has everything! i must have spent 20min with the guy going through everything in the kit. Am i missing something or is the Nissan kit actually cheaper!! it would seem so. Depends on what you want to do i suppose

The payen kit includes valve stem seals... R1040 is a good price paid R11xx for Toby's kit just a few weeks ago.

I can rest you assured that it does... I have never bought my seals seperate, always came with the kit, even the ACL kit came with valve stem seals.
If its a full Gasket set it should have it...
