Hi all
So i decided to go SR after all, even tho i said i never would but a great deal came along which I couldn't resist.
I want to start by thanking the guys who got my gearbox to me:
Riekert who brought it to PE,
Mike who arranged transport from there and
David in who's drift car it got brought up to PTA.
Guys moer of a thanx ,hope ill be able to return the favor someday.
Ill probably start rebuilding the gearbox the beginning of next month. The pics should follow soon.

can you not use CA18DET gearbox on an SR swop??

only if you swop the front part of the gearbox, the internals are pretty much the same

Even the part nr. are the same just the bell housing differs.

really didn't know that at all, even after all the research I've tried to do.
I was under the impression my current g.box setup would work

Sr runs much larger(diameter) flywheel then the ca so the ca bell housing wont fit over it.

Ya that throws a spanner in the works, it may just be cheaper to do a rebuild on my CA.
