hey guys,

I'm fairly new to the world of the sr20s so i need some info . . .

2 weeks ago we began to wire up and start my sr20 s14 blacktop topnotch . . . but we encountered a problem . . .

the engine is controlled by a Diktator wasted spark management system, we have module and a modified timing wheel from Diktator in the distributor. upon starting and finding the correct distributor position we found the revs to be unstable, it kept fluctuating between 1100 and 2300 rpm. so we sent the management and module for testing and both came back working 100%, the guys at Diktator suggest to check out the pick-up sensor.

if possible can someone please give me alternatives to moving pass this problem ???

Try getting rid of the CAS, get a distributor from a mitsibishi and modify the shaft with the CAS shaft to get it to fit. Sorted out my timing issues. I dont know if it can work with VVT though, someone may correct me on this though if they have another view.

The problem is, the degree plate that u get from dictator doesnt work on SR20DET CAS's, as I experianced, especialy not if the CAS is buggered. But n e way. Even a budy of mine with a CA18DET couldnt get it working, and neither could Dicktator them selves.

The way a CAS works is to finikey to even start playing arround with too as it works off magnetic reader heads that have to be a sertain micron distance to be succesfull.

N E way, there might be another solution that one of the guys might have for you . . .

Good luck.
