Alternative fuel widely available in the US. Not sure what you would need to do to an engine to get it to run E85 tho.

85% alchohol, 15% petrol.
Normally you don't pay fuel tax on alchohol.
Alchohol burns cooler, makes more power than petrol and is more resistant to detonation as well I think. However you have to burn much more alchohol when compared to petrol to make the same power, so consumption is much worse.

Huge injectors, new fuel lines, FPR, etc.

Ok to run ethanol I need to upgrade the injectors for more fuel.
I am told by a tuner that the fuel lines can stay as it is not corrosive like methanol. and the petrol part has enough anti-corrosive additives in to protect.
Fpr stock one can do the job just fine.
So lets see what happens on Saturday with the car and then we may opt for the ethanol root.

Protea chemicals
as ethanol
Its not technically E 85 as that is a premix
I am going to mix 50/50 with afgas.

Many years ago when I lived in Rhodesia now Zimbabwe we had fuel rationing and our fuel was a "blend", normal fuel and ethenol. Ethenol is a by product of sugar or sugar cane and this mix eroded carbs and metal fuel line over a period of time. Not good stuff but depends on the ratio I suppose.
Cheers
