Sonax car polish day - feeler

Hi guys
I had my SX polished by Sonax while we were at the Castrol Extreme Auto show. The results are spectacular! The paintwork looks like new, apart from all the chips, etc. They removed all the swirl marks! I washed my car afterwards - the water just beaded off the surface. I just rinsed it off using a brush and it looks like it was washed, waxed, and buffed! They guarantee the results for at least 6 months.
They said that if we can get together about 5 cars or so, they will come out to wherever we are, and polish all the cars. They normally charge R450 per car, but said they can give a discount of about R100 per car. We could get together at a spot where there is an electrical outlet, and have a braai while they polish the cars.
Who's keen? Should we wait till after winter?

oh - i thought it was R100 discount on R450???
cos i dont mean to be rude, but for R350 i can get some nice meguiars kit, and sort out both the cars?

Yes, it's R350. Yes you can buy Meguiars products and do it yourself, if you have the inclination, but it's a LOT of work. Sonax uses a product that fills in the scratches rather than removing a large amount off the top layer. This is their big differentiator, as explained by the guy who applied it.

Really Cool idea Toby should be fun!
These products are awsome, you can get them at any builders warehouse! Extreme polish and wax 3 is the best for older cars, with weatherd paint, work wonders with original paintwork. They also have colour specific Wax ie white, red, black, blue ,silver and these come with wax crayons to fill in small chips!

I'll set it up for one of the weekends in September. I'll need a deposit from everyone that's coming, will let you know the details closer to the time.

Yea I'm pretty sure they do bikes, and infact I'll be going in my S2k because my SX is already polished!

So bring whatever vehicle you want polished...
