Fuel Economy


I know this topic has been covered dead , But I’m more curious on the Dictator, Gotech and Uni-chiped guys fuel economy both when driving like an idiot your average and best
My car is the following and are the honest figures, this is mixed cycle more urban then highway my trip to work is 33 KM one way

Idiot Driving

220KM

8.1 Km/ Liter

12 liters per 100KM

Average Driving

300 KM

11.1 KM / Liter

9.01 Liters per 100Km


Best Fuel Economy

360 KM

i can get 500km on a tank highway driving.

driving like a chop is more between 200 - 250km a tank

A bit of both 300 - 350km a tank

got a tator btw

Ok so correct me if Im wrong

The SX tank is 45 Liters correct? But lets say 42 liters before the fuel low light for argument sake

11.9 KM / Liter

8.4 Liters per 100Km

Dont trust mine at all. But those tator readings looks good as well? Ill never evn sees 400k' on a tank ever.

60lt tank but you can only use 55lt of that... so work on a 55lt tank.

I get 450km/55lt, this is town driving, flooring it, freeway cruise, etc.

I find it hard to believe that you are getting 8.1km/lt when driving like a idiot... either you not making the power you say you are or your speedo is very far out because to make power you need to give it fuel and by this you not giving it much fuel... NOT fighting just curious...

Just a rough calculation here. Lets say you are using 1200cc/min of fuel that means you only have 6.45mins of driving to use up that 8.1lt. Find it hard that you could do 100km in 6.45mins... My brain is sore so this might not make sence... :lol:

Sorry forgot to add, I did once get 9.5km/l when I drove to JHB once... that was with a Unichip.

PFB, Im not trying to say my math is right because its not but just mearly say your figures dont add up. Sorry if this is going to end in a slugfest.

Believe it Dude, I just filled up after taking the half the department for a spin in the car that was my idiot fuel economy based on my injector duty cycle and fuel pressure the power is up there with a stable 11.5 AFR but I’m not trying to make this thread into a bad thing those are my honest figures, really.

My brothers old SX got on freeway cruise down to wild coast 500km/ 45lt, this was a bone stock sx.
