CA18DET Boost

Good morning guys and girls

I was wondering if anyone knows what the boost is at on a standard S13.

My guage is showing .7 bar and I just wanted to know if that is standard.

I think it should be .4 bar standard.

Standard boost is 0.6Bar, you gauge is probably out slightly.

my stoooopid sr20 is only at 0.4 bar at the moment.

mines showing 0.9... but only just after 4500rpm

I was playing with a Carrerra 4 a couple of weeks ago and I saw .8 bar in 5th.
I bought the car in Gauteng with the boost guage allready fitted , so it is obviously tuned to BS Capetonians.

I got nuts in the traffic yesterday and pushed her to redline through 1st , 2nd and 3rd , Stupid thing to do really , but what I did notice is that the turbo only seems to be effective from 2500 to +- 6500 rpm. Definitely need to make a plan.

sounds like a stock t25, should see the turbo drop off at about 6000rpm

Bloody annoying. It feels like it is about to rip the tar up and then stops.

What the difference be if I fitted the T28 from the SR20 ? Does the boost come in later and and up to higher revs?

what is the size of the circlip holding the arm on the actuator anyone? mine went PINGGG in the night

yes the bigger a/r does that, quite a good mod to do but to find them
