Hi guys , been try to find a bolt on Manual Gearbox for My E39 540 A/T

A few forums say that a E36 6sp will work

does anyone know if this is true, is the bell housing a match

No, only box that will fit is the manual from the BMW V8's. Like the 530,540 or M5. and they are very hard to find. I fitted a Borg warner T5 with modified bell housing.
