Hey Guys
Needs some advise please?
Just want to find out else I will be if for when fitting the following?
Step 1: Install a T28 turbo with powerkote exhaust housing and top mount manifold, move ABS (or better to remove completely?) over and make up a new down pipe.
Step 2: Install 550x280x65 FMIC then have piping made up. Want to use at 50mm stainless piping.
Step 3: Install 2 x 12 inch electric fans.
Step 4: install fuel pressure regulator and or new fuel pump.
Is there anything I should relook at? Or that won’t work.
Thanks Craig

You should check out 200SXSilviaSavage conversion, he's got a T3/T28 conversion, so that should give you some idea of whats needs to happen.
Why are you making it 50mm all around? that sounds abit small. Walbro pump makes a good difference on the CA (which i'm guessing you have

Hi Reece
Thanks for getting back to me, guess everyone else is on holiday.
Smooth is also running the same turbo on his motor and he is getting about 165KW on his car I think on about 0.7 bar boost.
So it would be better to go for the 65mm piping on the IC?
Still running the standard fuel pump recon it’s time for an upgrade?

I agree with rat on the fuel pump, when I had the Walbro pump put on, you can just feel the difference, so try and get yourself one of those.
50 to 55 mm should be fine for the hot pipe and 63mm should be ok for the cold pipe. what do you think rat?
and about the fans, putting 2 fans on the stock radiator isn't such a grand idea, rather get a thicker aftermarket one and put your fans on those. FYI, i checked a 50mm core radiator from CXRacing on ebay for $249, best part is it already has the fans bolted on.

you dont have to move the abs to fit a t28, Removing the abs completely is your choice.
piping smaller on the hot side. not sure on the sizes. I am using the std pipes width on the hot side and 76 on the cold side but 63 will be fine
If your std fan is working dont change it, it really works well and you wont notice a power gain.
Fuel pump is a good idea, FPR std one works fine with these basic mods, gary at 200+rwkw is still using the std one.
these are all my views, i could be wrong.

Hi Rat / Reece
Thanks for the advise, Going to have to change the fan as the standard on is not working so good and at the last track day the car overheated all the time.
Going to install a FPR before buying the fuel pump to see if it can handle it if not I will I buy a new one.
Still not sure on what to do with the manifold as last time I test fitted it didn’t look as it was going to clear the ABS, still need to sort that one out.

The t28 bolts onto the std mani unless you going top mount
i have gone to many track days and my car doesn't overheat and still running the std fan. Trance101 has got 2x electric fans and his does every time. I think you should look at a new radiator with a bigger core.

Hey
I would like to put a top mount manifold so that it is easier to work on.

I see turbo toys has bottom mount, might be a better bet.
Everything cost $$
I am also trying to get my Lotus 7 finished 99.9% there just waiting for the seats to come back.
Should be at the track day with it in the new year.

Top mount manifold is the shyte, but harder to explain to metro police that your car is standard.
