Yip you read right its that time again .....YAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
So dust off your helmet, steal back your racing gloves from the gardener,Check tyre pressure, buy fuel, check the oil, drop the suspension you're going racing !!!!
We have managed to book out the Roy Hesketh Track in pmb on SATURDAY 29th Nov. For a full day of track time, we have limited the entries so don't pillay an put your money were your mouth is . No pay,no play Simple. What to expect ?? Well depending on the different types of cars etc we will probably run 5 classes running one after each other for 15 min sessions which should give you and your car about 10 laps a session depending how fast you are !!!!! Documentation will be from 7am to 8am,drivers Briefing 8h30 and then your off dropping into Quarry ,belting into BP bowl and hammering it out of Beacon ..Yoh Yoh Yoh its going to be a blast.....till lunch time 12 to 1 where we will braai etc (braai packs will be for sale) then back to the track till 4 pm . Where after the racing friendly drink or two and all the war stories along with ballie stories come out etc ...good times . We encourage you to scare you friends and family so Passengers will be allowed in the car with you after signing indemnities etc...Ambulance with medics will be on site for the duration of the event.
E mail me for a entry form
robprece@telkomsa.net ,Pls full it in and e mail it back or fax to 031 201 0579 with confirmation of payment or otherwise come with your completed entry to the Meet and Greet on Thursday night 20th Nov with your bucks and you're in !!! simple hey
We got a great day planned as per usual with all the big guns crowding the A and B classes down to the novices and small cc cars but be surprised my golof should be back on the black in the form of a 8V of some sorts as I cant seem to find any more 16V heads lying around….. We will have instructors on hand for novice’s right through to the hardcore guys who think they got the lines pegged!!!!.....We will run the usual format with a few timed runs just to work out the who doing what sort of times …..We will have trophies for all 5 classes and novice of the day and FTD of the day.

I'm out of this one to sadly, the car still has that hectic stumble, maybe something engine management could fix. Also, also having some clutch issues. the car is driveable but wouldn't chance racing it. I'll be joining Gary on the benches, I'll bring the poms-poms

Hi Rob
Just want to find out what tyre pressure you are running on your tyres? I have the standard 15”rims and tyres.
Thanks Craig

Hi Trance
I see you also have a problem with overheating, is there any way to sort it out without changing the rad?

Road rubber .....2bar to 2.5 depending on conditions ...but rule of thumb go harder than normal ...and a bit softer than the front on the rear if rear wheel drive ....and harder than the frontif front wheel drive ....hope this helps a little ???
go to see some SX interest !!!!
Waaaahooooooo

hehe, I don't know hey. After ur turbo had it recon its been pulling like a stream train!
I'l be running 225's instead of 195's and more power. I'l be happy if I'm a second faster than last time.

Nothing that I've found that helps. I'm sure a new radiator will do the trick for me. Mine only really overheats on the track. Road use its fine...

@wicked ....I'll come out with ou and feel what its doing and try help that way ....
@ trance .try bridging the radiator fan/fans so they run all the time on the track ...helped me ...I got a switch now to overrun the thermo switch ...
??? not too sure if it will work but it helped me ...plus if you just put your heater on it will also reduce the temp as you now using the heater radiator in the dash aswell ....
but it does get a bit hot in the cab ????
