toby's gonna take his crank pulley off tomorrow (sunday)

maybe try to convince him, otherwise for a decent price i could tuck it away in a coolerbox and smuggle it outta there!!!!

hahaha

sorry mate - i asked for one of these and i didnt even get responses on the forums at all. but there may be more sinister reasons for that!

Yes I did get my crank pulley off, but I don't have a spare one, so I'll be repairing mine. If you still need one, you could try the guy in Durban selling spares. See this post:

You cant get these things.

So be very careful with yours.I had a stainless steel centre section inserted into mine because the key got damaged. I also had the key replaced with stainless steel.

So people be careful with this part.

its not a helluva complex thing, why not get an engineering place to make a copy while its off?

The thing is, that pulley is made in 2 parts, the inner part, a rubber ring, then the outer part. Dunno if engineering shops can make it like that. Could try a solid pulley - I don't really understand the need for the rubber part since the only things attaching to the pulley are rubber belts...

The pulley is fitted with a harmonic dampener. Removing this will cause the motor to fail.
It will cost around R2000+ to have a unit made. It cheaper to get one from Nissan. I tried this route.

But these things are rare.

the N/A CA motor's pulley from a scrap yard maybe?

The N/A pulley is a two belt pulley we need a 3 belt, the pulley of a Ca20E center section is to Small.

We need a RWD ca18de or Ca18DET pulley.
