RB26DET in S13
Hi there guys. First posting on this forum. Planning to get myself an S13 (1991 model with sunroof) and definately not gonna keep it standard. What would suggest to do to get a real M3, AMG, Porche (I'm ambitious) killer that will also not be needed to be rebuild after every dice. Stay with CA18DET, go to SR20DET, RB25DET or RB26DET.
If money was no object, what would u do. If a person goes the RB26 route, would the R32 gearbox also be needed. Engine mountings, cradle, etc, where to source, who to entrust with conversion?
All advice would be appreciated.

Tx, will look at other projects on the go.
Sorry, do not believe a Toyota motor in a S13 will sit too well with me. Sounds too much like sacrilege to me

RB26DET in S13
Ok, cost aside. It can be done? (SR13/ RB26). Who to do it? What would a fair (read reliable) RW / Kw output be?
I know it is a lot of questions, but need to know if im busy with Pie in the sky stuff and if I must rather be looking at something else, like SR20Det with Toda 2.3 stroker kit or something like such. (anybody done this before?)

Contact Stylin racing in Boksburg. Andre there has done a rb26 into a s13 and I saw that car run at wesbank. Scary $hit!!!
Anyways, he'll be able to give you an idea of what is required. Else a RB25DET swap is a good bang for buck cnversion.
Lastly a well built SR20DET with a GT2871R turbo would see of most performance cars and drive like a stock car in traffic.

A well built CA is capable of serious power, do not underestimate the motor. It's just a lot harder to work on and to find parts. The SR is a simpler motor, not a better motor. A RB25/26 is very heavy and will bugger up the cars weight distribution but a set of well sorted coilovers will solve this.
Generally RB26 conversions use RB25 gearboxes.
If you really have to have a S13 then my vote goes to a built CA and a GT28RS .64

Diesel power, hmm, yes, I think I'll have some of that.
