For the guys who have done this swop. What parts are needed to do the full swop? Except for the engine.... Can i use my CA18DET Gearbox?

You can, but you need to change the bellhousing.
No other mods is needed, it drops right in.
Suggest a FMIC and SR20DET pipping. S14 Radiator (because of the water pipe inlet of the SR20 is the other side from the CA18DET, but you can just reroute the pipe.
S14 and S13 engine mounts are the same, so if yours are in good nick its fine.
everything else fits 100%

Thanks For The Info. Im loooking at doing the swap. Might be a hassle finding a SR20DET Black Top Motor which has low km on it and is in good nick. Where do i source the bell housing from?

Hey 200SX-ZN, I would like to do the same conversion as you are going to do, only waiting for my gearbox to finally go before I get stuck in. Was considering the RB route but I think the SR is the way to go for me at this point. Whould you be so kind as to post an article on the whole conversion process as you have experienced when you have completed it? Getting all the info from one person who has done the conversion is better than bits of info from many others, not that info from many others is not usefull. (like watching a drift movie from begining to end instead of bits of it) Good luck with the conversion.

I did the conversion in my S13. Everything fits straight in. Only the radiator pipes have to be changed. SR20 on left of cyl head and CA18 on right.

hey guys, my SR20det conversion required no major mods at all.
same mounts, same prop, if you use an S13 radiator then you need to change the radiator pipes.
you can even use most of the original boost piping if you are keeping the SMIC!
antman - if you want an already rebuilt motor that you alread laid your eyes, gimme a shout. mine was originally sold, but the deal fell through, and now its available again!

Hi Veecee, I am not looking to do the conversion right now but will have to early in the new year. Was at the drift event on saturday and chatting to the guys and eye balling and hearing the rb25 sns s13has made me stand up and take notice, only thing is if I go the rb25 route then my other 2 toys must be sold to fund it, sr route and i get to keep them.
How much are you wanting for your motor/gearbox etc? Did you sort the mis out and what was the prob?
