Engine choice

Hi guys
Been following alot of the projects posted by members and I want to launch my own. Need some advice on where to start with the choice of engine. Have to consider price, power, reliability and mods required. I'm thinking of either the SR20DET or RB25DET or 2JZ-GTE (like RBSX is doing

). Considering all the the above, which will deliver more boost for the buck?
My first thought was that the SR20 will need more mods to get to the 6 cylinder engines power range. With the SR20 motor + mods I could get the either of the other 2 engines maybe even the gearbox too. My dilemma is that I won't feel too bad if I had to break an SR20, cos the repair bill won't be as much.
In terms of power, I'm looking at 250-280kW. Any suggestions on how to start

I'd go for SR, you'll be able to make that kind of power with a bit of work

RB25... To buy a RB25 or SR20 cost about the same, With RB25 you need a exh manifold, T61 or T66 Turbo and 50mm Ext wastegate. Can make easy 250kw + on std injectors (can do about 370hp) and normal feul. Only drawback is the extra work to install the RB.

Well each to his own I suppose...
But in my opinion I'd go for the SR for a dailydrive and fun car. Dragracing and pure racing the rb25 or 26??
but ja.

i think the most important thing to ask yourself is....
how are you going to stop with all that power? how you going to turn?
& what sound you like better, 4cyl or straight 6 cyl.
the first two aspects is most important!
