Sorry for asking such a weird question guys but does a any of your cars boost in neutral?

For example when revving your car in neutral do you see any positive pressure on you boost gauge?

yes a bit like 0.1 or 0.2

its been so long since i had a running sx, i cant remember exaclty.

i remember it getting to about 0 or just into positive pressure, but nothing hectic.

ditto, only slightly in the positive

If I rev, rev, rev then yes I can get boost. But on a single rev then no I cant.

Oh gush...we have had this before....

There is no gearbox "switch" meaning the management doesn't know which gear you are in...therefore you cant say does my car boost in neutral??? NO!!!!

The rev range is just to short for it to get into boost. As Gary says when you rev rev rev then enough exhaust gasses passes through the turbo to make it boost.

uhm - there is a gearbox switch... (hmmm... i might be thinking of the reverse switch! )

and, uhm...

you have the full rev range in neutral... in any car...

its the reason those debbin locals can make their cars go wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaappppppppppppppp, nenenenenenenenenenenenenenenenenenenenene!!!!!!!!!

thats cos the engine is under load even in reverse!
