Testing the Water - CA18DET + + +

Hey... I'm just testing the water here... what will I be able to get for my CA18DET?

the whole package: 220k on motor (fsh at paarl nissan)

Motor (complete)
Gearbox
Stock ECU
Piggyback ECU (with stock and tuned chip)
Wiring Harness
Stock (drilled) Airbox


So any suggestions???

mmm.... well... yeah.... 1800 is nice... but come on... its a SR20... I fell in love with that motor when my Dad bought his 200sti.

what the hell is wrong with the SR20det??? i couldnt believe how much simpler, better and faster it was when i rebuilt mine, and i've rebuilt a ca18det twice.

i will never ever recommend a ca18det to anyone EVER again. its a POS motor in comparison. its also the reason i would stay away from the RB motors now. mainly they are too expensive, but if i could afford it then i wouldnt be comfortable with the similarities to the ca18POS motor!!!

if you have a good deal on an SR20, then go for it!

oh ya - jealousy makes you nasty gary.

6-7k not a bad price, seeing it includes the gearbox. problem is , nobody wants them.. gave mine away for 2k :shock:
