Well since im new here and looking at buying an S13, ive got a few questions. For starters what is the tuning potential of the S13? How do I go about making it a good drift car? And what mods would u recommend? Also what engines would fit nicely under the bonnet and not cost me an arm and a leg to do the conversion? Thnx :D

how much searching have you done?

wiki and google are your friends...

also there is a drift section and a technical section here to look at.

for info on modifications, there is also a modification section.

so when you say tuning potential, are you speaking of something in particular, or in terms of the whole car in general. cos generally speaking, there are tons and tons of mods to do to increase performance in all spheres of the car, be they power, handling, ICE, etc...

Im actually interested in doing a sil80 conversion. How much can I expect that to be?

although you can drift a stock s13 quite easily, a sil80 still wont see you get any closer to modifying anything that will impact the drift performance of your car.

if you do the get the sil80 conversion done, you will be one of a kind in SA though...

so maybe you get some streetcred for that!

Well im talking exterior-wise. Performance-wise I first wanna see how far the stock motor can go (since its a 1.8 and quite old). Then im also considering throwing in a skyline motor a little later on if I can fit it in there. For drifting would we need a new LSD or anything else?
