I got my sx back from gary with the springs and bushes installed. Its feels great. It feels tight and solid and really well planted in the corners. There is pretty much no body roll any more in my sx. It handles great though.

It's quite low at the moment but nothing too bad. Speed bumps aren't as much of a problem as I feared they may be. When I get some 17's on (next on the list 8) ) it should lift it up a bit aswell for a bit more clearance.

Overall, there is a night and day difference in the way my sx handles now. Very pleased with the mods.

Here are some pics:

Ya, i makes a massive difference in how my sx handles. Feels great now.

I don't think they are rolled out. It may be the small wheels that make it look that way. Although they could have been rolled out by a previous owner??

Once I get some 17's on I'l sort out the spacing properly.

How would that make a difference tho? Even If I had wider tires on there I'm not spacing the wheels out any more than with thinner tires.

I think its a spacing and offset issue not a tire width issue.

After I get 17's I'l adjust the spacing and fit wider tires anyway.

I wanted to say that the tires look alittle small. Put the correct sized tires on and eliminate some more of that arch gap

correct me if im wrong, but it should be 195/65/15 shouldnt it (or 205/60/15)

Ok, so i haven't updated in a while so here it goes...

Ok, so I left off this thread with the idea of going for wheels and tyres next... well I ended up going for POWER instead   ... with a bit of encouragement from Gary :)

Ok, so Gary let me know of this turbo deal that he knew of that seemed pretty good. The turbo was a TD04l 15g. Its the '07 wrx sti turbo and this one had only 12 000km done on it and it came with a ported manifold already modded for the ca18det. So, i bought it and my sx went in to Gary's place to get it installed.

So, the plan was to just do the turbo for now and get a management system later... that didn't happen. Once again Gary let me know of a good deal going on a dictator std. The older one that can do wasted spark. So, I went for that aswell...

I took it for a drive with the new management and turbo with a decent base map. It felt good. It pulled strong and spooled from low down! It would start spooling for about 2000rpm and hit full boost soon after. It was only running small boost then. About 0.6 bar spiking to 0.7 and it already felt faster than my sx when it was running 0.8bar.

During the installation of the management system there was a little mishap with the use of an incorrect trigger wheel... Lets just say my sx was very hawt that day

So, that meant it was off to the body shop after the dictator was installed. this turned out to be a good thing becasue it gave me a chance to get all the rust and dings removed. Plus, the roof was painted satin black and the spoiler removed while they were at it 8)

I'm going to Gary's to check out my new shiny sx 2moro and I'l be dropping off a boost controller so we can see what this new turbo can do at a bar 8) Then, Gary will install the CA18DE cam that I got and then its going for a dyno tune on monday :D :D ... i can't w8 for the results.

So, quite alot has happened with my sx. Here are a few pics of the turbo:

Tomorrow, I will take some more pics of the new paint work and the new black roof and clean rear end 8) it should be looking real good!

Also, can't wait.

Uh, ya. Don't have much money left at all... Hoping I can afford to put petrol in this thing. Will see how it goes. I really wanna do Roys to feel the difference and also wanna do the wild coast sports car run thing coz i got the new paint :) ... just everything is so freaking expensive. Especially petrol.

As promised pics of the new paint work, the smoothed rear end and the statin black roof.

There are a few pics with Gary's sx aswell. The sx's were looking quite good together. Pity mine got rained on.
