Took my sx out for a drive yesterday. Was doing about 200 up the M4 towards Balito with Wes's sx right behind. And then disaster struck. Bearings went knock knock anyone there??
So my CA18DET is finally toast. It served me well and I was very happy with how it performed for the years I've had my sx. Its been through a lot and it lasted well.
I've got the RB25 waiting at Gary's house luckily so now another RB25 swap is on the cards. I'm just collecting parts and waiting for Rat's to swap to be completed them mine will go in for the same treatment.
Here are a few videos from the place where that CA18DET last ran:

RIP my CA18DET

Ya, its interesting how the timing of that worked out
I've always said I wanted to mod this motor until it broke then I would be satisfied. Now that's happened so it's time to move on to bigger and better things.
RB25 FTW!
