I have the circuit sports ones... also have the longer studs...means bigger spacers..more offset.... fronts bolt straight on...rears need some work even though they suppose to be bolt on...just make sure rears come with bearings included...i replaces all disks....you can just redrill all the old ones to fit...

This reminds me of a question I had.

Japspec, you fitted the hubs and I think they are the same size as the 350Z cause you have 350Z rims on. Am I correct?
What did you do about braking tho?

Majority of ppl do this for 3 reasons:

a) you got too much spare cash
b) you want more rim options
c) makes brake upgrades easier

Now non of these reasons justify R5k to me. Not in SA at least. How many 5x114.3 rims do the aftermarket ppl in SA stock? Everytime I've checked it was maybe two more than they do for 4x114.3. Most popular in SA is 5x100 and 5x120

The brake upgrades are simple enough when you redrill the 5 lug discs to 4 lug.

So unless your wheel bearings are shot and you haven't splashed out on rims you want in 4x114 then the 5-lug is a good option. Otherwise just stick to 4 lug and buy a better turbo

Thats what i say to for people out there going to buy rims now... try buy 4/114 18 inch 4 years ago though..didnt come out in that size at the time... I went to 5/100 with my first set of 18's, redrilled the hubs and put bolts in.... I broke the one hub eventually at 120km on scribante, but already had the others waiting... First thing...dont change to 5/100.... second... i changed for 2 reasons...I have an S14, and 350...also bought 19's in 5/114 and rather than have different pcd's for all of them, i wanted them the same so i could use the wheels on all.... busy changing my R31 skyline to 5/114 to for the same reason..this way with spares for drifting, i can use on the others too.... braking was the next reason... I wanted bigger and the disks on the sx are thin and brakes 1 pot... Have GTR brembos on now which bolted on with the new hubs perfect... Only changed front as the backs are for the hand brake and dont wanna change the whole set up like the 300zx.. might be getting another set of 35o brakes which go on there....GTR's on skyline....

Thanks!

Cause the thing I am thinking is getting the discs and callipers off of a 350Z for the SX

was just wondering if it would bolt right up with the hubs, and if the callipers would actually bolt on as well?

Japspec if you know I can finally stop wondering.

Thanks

fronts should bolt up no problem...Backs on the sx work on handbrake(drum) and disk caliper.. I think the 350 works on the same principles as the 300zx, which means the brakes and handbrake work on the caliper only...this means there are mods neccessary to make it work... Speak to N1smo200sx, he's done the rear brake mod already....

i've done the 300zx brake swap thing on n1smo's car, and i have the calipers and stuff and i've mocked it up on my car too.

the s13 rear drumbrakes and the 300zx rear drumbrakes are exactly the same - surprisingly - they are also exactly the same specs as the xtrail 2.5l 4x4 that i own too.

if you do a hub swap from a 300zx it should be a straight bolt on. it WILL NOT affect your rear drumbrake setup at all.

people in the states got a different rear brake setup on the s13 and so they have to make drumbrake/handbrake cable modifications - but we in SA dont have to.

as for the similarity with the 350z or the GTR brakes - i'm not sure about this. i think things are different in those setups!

this is a bit off topic.. but i saw this interesting setup the other day,
enables you to use 350z track edition rotors with 300zx calipers on your 200sx :D

freaky..
