Gains to be made on a stock’ish SX ..

I am just sharing the below information for general use hope it can help the team at there chosen tuner or at home, This past weekend I had the privilege of being able to make some changes to the Fueling and timing of NIZAN-R 200sx.The car had a few modification a blow-off valve (atmospheric) and cone filter the motor had be freshly rebuilt and was running strong at 0,6bar. NIZAN-R is running the same full consult and map tracing ECU I am we are hoping to be able to supply the club with some factual date about modifications as NIZAN-R modifies his car .
We will be able to see any increase in TP value (airflow), AFM voltage, increase injector duty cycle and so on; unfortunately we did not have access to a dyno so no real hard facts can be given as to the power increases
Yesterday we focused on the improvement of the stock MAP for his current modifications. The first step we did was to log data on a base run with the car monitoring TP values and timing, inj pulsewidth and AFM voltage. After all the data was gathered we made some changes to the fueling map I richened up the lower end of the map and leaned out the top end to around 11.1 after a couple of more tests things looked good the car felt stronger to both me an NiZAN , Next with Knock logging enabled we started with the timing Map slowly increasing through the range both listening and logging for knock we increased timing through a good part of the range seeing a 5 degree increase under full load with no hint on knocking the knock Fuel and Knock timing maps have been left the same so if anything does go wrong his motor will be safe
The software trying to meet the consumer’s needs has a sprint clock (not very accurate I know) but a good indication of improvements how it works is when a curtain rpm is pasted the clock will start counting and will only stop once you reach 100Km/h, after all the tuning was done we had dropped the time by 0,6 of a second not a lot I know but an increase non the less. NIZAN-R will be testing the map over the next few days to make sure there are no issues with it
