So at the GMS show, I had a few embarising comments about my paint job on the car, my bonnet has a hectic orange peel going on, and the same has started on the roof...

First we needed some graffiti

The orange peel, nasty shit

6 Layers of paint, 8 hours of sanding later below is the result

Bonnet bare like a teasers girl

Will post later today on our progress, my buddy Willie is used to work at a pannel beater and really knows what he's doing.

Along with the bonnet being repainted, and the rest of the car getting all the pin dents fixed and so on, I'm also doing some minor exterior modifications, but nothing that hasn't been done in the club before.

I'm posting this while they are working, I'm battling a hectic hangover... I better get going...

you lucky boy you.

How much would said buddy ask to remove all the parking lot door indentations on a car? I have a few on my sabre. Also in charcoal (la traviata silver actually)

And how much to do a black roof on a non-s/r s13?

Asked Willie (076 143 0971) how much he would ask for the Roofs R1750 for a SX with sunroof R2000 without and he needs the car for about 3 days

1 Day prep, 1 Day spray + bake, 1 Day polish

As for the other stuff, he will need to see the car to quote you, but a complete respray for the SX like mine is about R8000.

No more boot spoiler...

Car going yellow.... NOT

Ooooh black roof.... High Gloss Black

Car is now 90% prepped and ready to spray, we ran out of primer on sunday, so we could not finish of the prepping, bonnet required extensive work to get smooth, i'm very gatfol of sanding...

My car will at least be dent, and rust free after this, body was in a rather good shape to start with, but now it will be perfect.

BTW: Willie also owned a stage 3 SX while he was in Scotland, so did his girlfiend... He's a serious SX lover, give him a call if you want some work done, his number 076 143 0971

Yeah can't wait as well, If I was going to stay in SA I would have added a body kit, but I guess the next owner can have fun doing that.

So now we have 3x de-winged charcoal SX'es running around... (so to speak...)

Yeah I stated loving how VeeCee's looked without the wing...

you should see how it looks now without the wing, without the rear wiper, and without the aerial. although the aerial hole is still there.

when i do my black roof the rear water spray nozzle will go as well.

i dig a smooth rear on the sx!!!

and thats tough work you doing vlade, so well done dude! it will pay off in the end i know it!

sanding is a biatch - cant you hire a helping hand?

I'm the hired help haha...

Yeah was thinking about covering those holes, but then decided against it, for the sake of practicality.

Hoping it will assist the sale of the vehicle.
