I am cash strapped, Was thinking about buying a stock intercooled and running 2 intercoolers. For now till finances start coming in and i go for one big one. Any advice?

Is it worth the effort?

Its gonna be quite alot off effort mounting the 2nd cooler in the other wing. piping not so much. worth while? not sure... Try it and let us know.l

a decent sized cooler is only about 800 - 1000-00.

good question though... why not 2 smaller inter-coolers mounted in series? one in each fender?

Then you start paying for piping. The whole lot is on average R2.8k-R3.4K

I worked it out with 2 pipes and 4 joints i can have this one mounted in the bumper close to the first one (shorter piping/ not increasing lag too much) and then I use 100% of all the stock piping back to the inlet. so if i do go this route it will be R800-1000 complete. Like I said earlier its just a temp solution. Then ill consider the big one at a later stage when I have R3k spare!

Thank you for the input. Does any one know the negative effects of this? Like is this a complete waste of time?

i dont think it will be a complete waste of time, and i thought you were going to mount it in the other wing.

which means you pay just as much for piping anyway. hence my comments!

its probably quite an effective solution for a temp fix.

quick fixes tend to magically transform into permanent fixtures plus you'll have extra holes in your bodywork, no?

naaa, patience young padawan

(might help for drifting though - air coming from side...)

Hmmmm point taken Obiwon. what i have been told by a reputable ship builder is that my turbine is under great heat duress and one solution for its salvation is the intercooler. hence my desire for this imperfect yet plausible heat dispersion tactic.

This is not for the increased force, it is for sustained ship usage!

I am not sure if the ship builder speaks truth! I have been told that the force is strong with him.

My Desire for power will turn me to the dark side and a larger more efficient system will be implemented! then i will join the sith!

OK I know its got nothing to do with this and its not the same car but the Veyron has 11 small intercoolers. So I think its a good idea...

Slide I'll give you my stock intercooler for R100 so you can try it.

I think its intercoolers and radiators combined.
