modifying mags?

I got some 17's, want to maybe modify them...

I want to have a small lip/dish added to them... so they will be wider as well..
This might be way to expensive, but could look great and be unique...

Has anybody done this or has anybody got any reference etc.?

Appreciated.

How do i add a pic? is this a blond Q... can't seem to..

It can be done. It's pricey though.

I've recently had a set of 18's taken for a PCD change. They had to weld up the holes, redrill the right PCD, and then repaint the wheels and polish the dishes again. Cost me like R4500 in total I think.

To widen a rim will cost R1600each. This includes repainting them etc. You can also have your 17" turned into an 18" I believe. The disch will just be "flared" a bit more. Will cost roughly the same so may as well do that if you do it.

I used hi-tech mag repairs. They're not the cheapest but the quality of the work is important as your wheels are all that are keeping your car off the tar...

wow man, cool, thanks for the input...

Are they in CT or JHB? If in JHB, I need a CT contact...

Anything on uploading an image so I can show you?

Thanks again.

They're in JHB.

for CT your best bet is to start at this forum:

http://www.nissanownersclub.co.za/forum/index.php

AS for uploading pics, you need to host them on a site like

www.photobucket.com or www.streetneeds.com

Then once you've loaded in onto there you post it here as a link.

thanks Gary and Sokar....

Imagine them in 18" or even as is 17" but with a little dish....

Thats what I would like to do.... like 2 inch dish in front and then slightly more at the rear.

Don't want to compromise on the safety of the wheel though... so quality work will be preferred...

I spoke to the dudes at the tec mag place, they said they can make the wheel a 18".....

What you guys think, should I stick with 17 and just widen the wheel with the dish? or do widening and stepping, 18".
